The film John Stewart: The Master of Disguise was one of my personal favorite films from the 1990s. Though the plot is far from original, it did manage to be a hilarious comedy with an unforgettable lead character ( Stewart), and a slew of hilarious supporting characters. Many of the film’s memorable scenes are re-watchable today, and a few of the films best moments include the car chase scene and the “what does John Stewart know” bit at the end where he gets squirted by the car he crashes into. The plot, while not especially original, is still a classic, and if you haven’t seen it I highly recommend it.
John Stewart is an oilfield worker who works for drilling company Krickel. He has been given a mission to disguise himself and go on a mission in search of a UFO. On his way, he chases a UFO that he believes belongs to some space aliens. Along the way, he meets a bunch of other characters, some of whom are better known than he is. Some of their exploits include John Stewart’s friend Gail Hunter (Karen Allen).
The movie begins with John Stewart driving down a country road, looking for places he can look for ” UFO’s.” He passes a sign which says ” sighting the UFO’s here! “, and starts driving further away from town. Suddenly, the car breaks down and John Stewart finds himself in a motel room with no means of transportation.
Searching for a way out, he gets himself a ride out of the motel and takes a chance on meeting another strange character named Curt Grant (Buddy Ebsen), who happens to be an insurance man. The two start traveling together, but things don’t go so smoothly as they expected. The two are captured by a group of armed men who want to find out what they know about the UFO. John Stewart manages to get away and helps the others get out of the motel.
Incidentally, this is where the film starts to lose its credibility. We see a number of bizarre things taking place, some of them unbelievable. One of the more absurd scenes involves John Stewart being held prisoner in a small house with no windows and no means of communication, let alone a telephone. All these scenes combined with the strange character and his constant monologues about how the government is covering up some UFO sightings makes this film almost laughable.
John Stewart is played by Tim Matheson, who is not exactly an exciting actor. However, he does play a good part, especially in the final scenes when John ends up freeing himself and helping the other characters get out of the motel. This film is a fun action film with lots of hilarious one-liners. People are not going to forget this movie anytime soon. The Internet has made it available to people all over the world and it hasn’t lost its popularity even though the movie was released 20 years ago.

The beautiful island of Saipan in the Philippines is known for its legendary haunted castle, The Royal Castle. This picturesque land has been the hotspot of all the movies and series being shot here. One of these movies, the Legend of the Three Queens, was shot on location in Saipan. The film was released in 1998, but later shelved due to political conflict. Ever since its re-release in the cinemas, The Royal Castle became a hot favorite with film-makers, and eventually it was included in the list of the top-rated films of all time.
I had the great luck to be one of those lucky film-makers who secured the services of the best local actors and actresses when we were making our saipan stewart film. The beautiful island of Saipan is well-known as the home of such celebrities as Angelina Jolie, Matt Damon, Marlon Brando, and George Clooney, whose filmography almost entirely consists of their saipan escapades. The most memorable scene that I am sure that everyone will remember, involves the two star studded beauties Angelina Jolie and Matt Damon in an action-packed car chase across the countryside of Saipan.
The lovely Angelina Jolie, who was born in Magnolia, California, has a great following in the U.S. She has appeared in some high end films, such as Tomb Raider: Angelina Jolie. Her first Japanese film, the flying high girl, also starred Anne Hathaway and was directed by Rob Reiner. I had the great fortune to work with both Angelina Jolie and Matt Damon on different projects before coming to be an assistant to Luc Besson in the movie chase movie “engers”. One of the projects that I worked on was the U.S. women’s ski team gold medal skiathlon. It was my job to make sure that the young ladies on the team were prepared for the grueling mountain course.
Matt Damon and Anne Hathaway did a great job of challenging the ladies ski resort skiers. One of the more intense competitions was the “Skipper” segment, which was a flatland style of skiing. It was great fun to be a part of this competition, and it was close competition between the Americans, Jenny Baile and Allison Miller. The two girls finished tied for first place after three days of racing.
The next day, while the girls were enjoying their victory celebration on the “Skipper” course, I went out to the slopes with our guide, Mikel, and ended up getting an awesome crash during the day. We had to take an anti-vibration pad, which helped greatly with the swelling and pain. Luckily we both landed okay, but were shaken up by the experience.
After leaving the South Fork Lodge, we decided to stay at our first choice, the Homestead. It was built in the 1930s and has a beautiful view of the cascades. There is also a beautiful pool and hot tub. The prices are reasonable, and it was nice to spend a couple of days at the Japanese styled station de Ski.
